Thus spake Autocar’s Matt Prior, a Brit not usually given to hyperbole. The car? an Ariel Nomad.
Word of warning: switch the subtitles on- the car’s a bit loud.
With a price between that of a nicely specced 3series to an M3, it’s clearly on the spendy side for a toy. On the other hand, this thing looks uniquely capable of a whole ‘nother level of hoonage.
If you liked the video, be sure !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

With regards to the price - why is it as high as it is? Ariel’s limited manufacturing capability? Expensive components? Labour-intensive design?

I suspect it’s mostly down to no economies of scale, and the fact that they’re mostly hand built in Britain...

The wheels make it look positively comical. I want one, would DD one.

The configurator is quite something: there’s all sorts of wheel and suspension sets available

It doesn’t look as fun with somewhat normal wheels on it. I’d go with the 15” rallye wheels in grey, grey cage and white body panels. Lights cluster and windscreen yes, winch no, spare wheel yes. I don’t need most of the other, rather specific options, I think.
Also, I’m a quiet type, so I’d not go for fancy colours. :D
